Who or What are You Governed By?

It was announced yesterday morning at church that our pastor, Todd Wilson, would ask us "Are You Increasingly Governed by God's Word?" at church last night. Well the title alone made me not desire to go back last night, but I did. What an awesome message it was. He also asked us what we value. That hit hard as well. Have you ever thought about that? I mean what do you look to as the most valuable thing to you. Would it be your Bible? I left church encouraged and challenged. The Word of God is so many things, it is sweeter than honey according to Psalm 19. It is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword according to Hebrews 4:12. I think it is just awesome that a book that was written so long ago is still as valuable today as it was to the early Christians or even to our patriarchs. Anyway, I challenge you today to make the Word of God as precious to you and any other thing/person/object in your life!

i love how the messages God knows we need are the ones we do not want to hear. i am glad He teaches us despite our attitude sometimes.

i know that it is so hard in the world we live in to remember that we are to be governed by His Word. i also agree that it is awesome that a book written so long ago, still has so much power! we should treasure it more than we do.

thank you for sharing with us this wonderful challenge!
